Trent is 14 today. How did that happen? It seems like only yesterday he was a baby in my arms. Ryan and I tried for a while to have a baby and we were beginning to get worried...and God blessed us with our Trent. Trent was an easy labor and delivery. My back hurt a little the night before and I went to bed, I woke up at 7a.m. with contractions. We went to the hospital at 10 a.m. and our little guy was born at 1:35 p.m.....quick and easy. Trent was the best baby...seriously he was a super baby. He didn't cry very much and slept really well from the beginning. Corbin was in love with Trent from the minute he saw him and Braden wasn't so sure about him. It took Braden a while to warm up to Trent. I think Braden liked being the baby for the 3 years he was our baby. Trent was a quiet toddler who played a lot in his room and loved to play with cars. He always had a car in his hand. When he turned 3 we learned that he had autism. The world stopped for a second and then we began our journey of learning all we could about autism and finding all the help our little boy needed. He went to speech and started school at age 3. He started to learn to play with other children and started communicating with us more. The first time he said "I love you, Mom" melted me. He went through a huge Thomas the Train phase and is now in a Wolf phase. He is obsessed with wolves. Unfortunately, because of his autism he is not very affectionate. When I do receive hugs and kisses from Trent its a big deal. I think we take for granted hugs and kisses sometimes and forget how special they are and the love that they stand for. He looks at the world differently and I love looking at the world through his eyes. Trent changed everything about our family. He has made me look at things differently...I am a better parent, teacher, and person thanks to Trent. Trent has touched many lives in his short 14 years on this Earth. God has a special plan for Trent and I love being able to watch him grow and shine. I am so glad God chose me to be this young man's Mom. Happy Birthday Trent!!! We love you.

Logan had his first t-ball game tonight. He loves playing t-ball. He hit the ball twice and scored a run. He played one inning on the field great. The second inning...not so great...he played in the mud, lost attention when an airplane flew by, and ran all around the field. I have to remember he is only four! He did stop the ball twice and ran it to the circle. We were excited to see that he knew what to do when he got the ball. The sweetest part was when he got to second base his Daddy was there telling the kids when to run, Logan gave his Daddy the biggest hug. Ryan was grinning from ear to ear. We are making progress because at the scrimmage last week when he got to third and they said run home he ran into the dugout!!! We are very proud of him and glad he is having a good time. This season is going to be fun!!!

Trent had a swim meet on Thursday in Ruston, Louisiana. He did great! He placed in all of his events and shaved almost 2 seconds off his time in the 50 yard freestyle! He loves swimming and is definitely built for it. He looks like Michael Phelps. We love watching our future Tiger Shark.
We had a great Easter this year. Logan had 3 egg hunts! The first egg hunt was at the Ace of Clubs house in Texarkana. The second was at our church at Rock Creek Baptist Church. The third was at the annual Caudle Easter gathering. He had a blast. He understood how to hunt eggs this year and didn't want us to help him at all.

I love planning my boys Easter baskets.
Little man said the Easter Bunny knew all his favorites!
