Corbin's Graduation

Corbin graduated high school on Saturday. My heart was bursting with pride and breaking into a million pieces all at the same time.
The graduation ceremony was held at Moores Lane First Baptist Church.  The students were given 5 tickets!!! We applied for 1 extra ticket and they gave each student 1 extra ticket. Corbin has 4 sets of grandparents who love and adore him...we didn't know what to do. We decided that 2 tickets would go to Ryan and I and each set of grandparents would each get 1 ticket. The grandparents had to decide which one would get to go! It was heartbreaking!
Corbin was my first born to graduate and I had no idea what to expect. Thank goodness my good friend Cora helped me through it. Cora's son graduated last year and her daughter graduated this year, so she told me everything to expect, like what time to get there and the best spots to sit.
We got there at 12:30 for a 2:00 ceremony and the line already wrapped around the building!!! It was HOT!!! We finally made it inside and found our seats.    The kids marched in and the ceremony began. I listened to the speeches and looked through the sea of black hats to find my boy. Then they started calling took 45 minutes just to get through the names!!! Then I heard that magic name...Corbin Kell Foster....I was grinning from ear to ear and crying a river. It was so exciting watching him cross the stage and receive his diploma.

And then it was's over, my baby is a high school graduate!
We made our way through the sea of people. I smiled at the other parents and mouthed "congratulations", but all I could think about was finding my son! We finally found him and I was able to hug his neck.
We rushed back to Maud to get ready for his party. We decided to throw a party afterwards for all the family to celebrate Corbin since they couldn't attend the actual ceremony. The party was a blast.

The party was a huge success and I could not have pulled it off without the help of my mom, Aunt Rebecca, my best friend Sarah known to my boys as Aunt Sarah (her friendship means more to me than she will ever know...she's my person), and Ryan's wallet!
We fell into bed that night we were all so exhausted! The next day our church Rock Creek Baptist Church honored our Senior graduates. I pray that Corbin always has a strong relationship with God.

I am so thankful I have been able to share in this milestone in Corbin's life and  can't wait to see what his future holds. I like the saying...don't cry because it's over but be happy that it happened.

Daddy and I could not be prouder of you Corbin. You are everything we dreamed you would be and more! You have all of our love always and forever my child.

Corbin is Graduating

Corbin is graduating on Saturday!!! How did we get here so fast? My baby is ready but his Mommy is not. I have been going through old pictures making a video for his graduation know I cried the entire time I was making the video. I can't post the video here so I'll post some of the sweet pics I included in his video.

I am scared to death in this photo. I had no idea how I was going to raise this baby. I had no idea how much this little boy would change me. I was scared to death of doing this by myself...I just knew I would ruin this sweet angel...instead this sweet angel saved me!
I thought I was alone but was I ever wrong...we were blessed beyond measure!
Four sets of grandparents! He was a lucky and very loved little boy.

He was perfect in every way!
Then God sent us Ryan and we were a family.
When you look at the two of them in pictures you see that he is so proud of his son.
I LOVE this photo of the two of them. Look at how Ryan is looking at Corbin...that is a proud father in that picture.
I love my Corbin. He is my firstborn and the first person to ever call me Mommy. He has filled my life with more joy and love than I ever thought a heart could hold.
My cup runneth over!!!!
