Sadie Hawkins Dance

My sweet boy went to the Sadie Hawkins Dance with his girlfriend Jasmine. He was excited. This was his first dance in high school.
He gave her necklaces from the Mardi Gras Parade we went earlier that day.

She made their shirts. I think she did a good job. The front spelled Swim when they stood together.
He said they had a good time at the dance. I thought they made a really cute couple.

Mardi Gras Parade 2017

I am SO behind on my blog! I'm trying to get caught up!

A few weeks ago we went to the Texarkana Mardi Gras Parade. We picked a great spot this year. We were on a corner and the floats had to slow down as they turned the corner and that gave them time to load little guy up with beads.
Trent was with us this year.

I told you little guy was loaded down with beads!!! I'm surprised he could walk.
We had a great time at the parade.

What If?

Corbin came home the other night and asked to speak to Ryan and I. We sat down and he asked if we had a will. He said he had thought and prayed and decided that if something should happen to Ryan and I he would like to raise still my heart!

Ryan and I agree that this is the best decision for Logan should anything ever happen. Corbin never ceases to amaze me. He makes me proud.

I pray that this plan is never needed, and I live to see all my children grown and happy and I can spoil my grand babies. I can rest easy knowing there is a plan for my youngest child and if he turns out as amazing as his big brother than this world will be that much better.

You can tell in this picture that these two brothers have a very strong bond. My firstborn and my last.

They enjoyed playing dress up.
Logan loved the tesla coil show. He said it was loud, but cool!

They both said the post office was their favorite place.

It was a fun play date.

This was the first Valentine's Day that Trent has had a Valentine. He was so excited to give Jasmine her teddy bear and chocolate flowers.
It looks like she liked the bear.

We snuck in and surprised my nephew Ian.

Regional Swim Meet

Trent competed in the Regional Swim Meet in Lewisville, Texas this weekend. He did an amazing job.

He placed 6th out of 21 swimmers in the preliminary swim on Friday which qualified him for the championship finals on Saturday. He was so excited.

A big stretch!
My boy is in lane 5
The Finals on Saturday were exciting. They have a consolation swim for the swimmers who placed 9-16. Then they walk in the swimmers who placed 1-8 to some fun music to swim their event. Our boy placed 5th!! He shaved 2 seconds off his time from the day before...amazing!
He was emotional

He set a goal at the beginning of the year to just go to District. He made it to the Finals at Regionals and placed. He picked this shirt and I think it says it all!
